Well, there are people who go a step further by creating a special space on the World Wide Web for their favourite hate icons and inviting users to hurl brickbats at them.
 
On Orkut, membership in hate communities for Ekta Kapoor, Greg Chappell and Musharraf is in thousands. Even Mahatma Gandhi has not been spared. What makes such groups popular among net users? Psychiatrist Sameer Parekh feels that such communities help people validate their pet peeves through other users. “They reinforce your point of view and you join them without giving much thought,” he says.
